No, sessions are 100% virtual at this time to offer flexibility, accessibility, and comfort for clients trying to fit therapy into their busy lives. While some folks prefer in-person work, I have found (both personally and professionally!) that beautiful progress can be made through virtual work.

Once you reach out through my website, you’ll hear from me via email to set up a free, 15-minute consultation call. If we determine it feels right to move forward, I’ll send some intake paperwork for you to complete - and you’ll schedule your first session! The first 1-2 sessions will be focused on getting to know you, your history, your presenting concerns, as well as discussing treatment goals (aka: what does “better” look like?). From there, the deeper work begins!

I work with clients who have insurance as an out-of-network provider. In other words, I do not take insurance directly, but have partnered with a service called Mentaya, where you can check your eligibility for out-of-network mental health benefits! From there, I provide superbills that can be submitted for partial reimbursement.
Clients have found they’re able to be reimbursed up to 70-80% of session costs after hitting their deductibles. I am here to support you however I can so that finances are not a barrier to treatment. -
I accept credit, debit, and Zelle. Whichever form of payment you choose, you will be required to add a valid credit card on file before your session is confirmed. Credit and debit cards are charged overnight automatically following each session.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled session time will result in a full charge, unless we are able to reschedule within the same week (which I will do my best to do!). Given that clients can only schedule sessions with a minimum 12-hour advance notice for the following day, late cancellations and no-shows make it difficult to refill vacant slots. No-shows will be charged the full amount regardless of same-week rescheduling.

Sessions are 50 minutes long. I strongly recommend starting at a weekly cadence to see the best results, though a higher or lower frequency is an option and welcome for discussion! This typically depends on things like your presenting concerns, severity of symptoms, and goals for therapy.

Sex therapy and regular therapy share similarities in addressing emotional issues and negative patterns of thought and behaviors, but sex therapy specifically focuses on sexuality, sexual dysfunction, and intimacy. Similar to my training as a psychotherapist, I’ve undergone extensive training in human sexuality and sex therapy.
What I love about sex therapy is that there are a ton of exercises (ie. sensate focus, sex education, mindfulness, reflections) to be practiced outside of session - with yourself or partner(s) - that yield more tangible progress and growth. You can do sex therapy individually, or with your partner in couples therapy! If you aren’t sure if therapy would be better at this time with yourself or as a couple, let’s talk and I can make a recommendation from there. -
NOPE! There are no ‘rules’ on needing to stick with one topic. I see clients with all types of struggles. Some people seek sex therapy for more short-term work, and so we do focus solely on their sex-related concerns. But that’s not always the case! My job is to get to know and see you in a holistic, comprehensive way. That means, as life happens and other things pop up, we tend to those, too, and incorporate them into the work.
